Who is Kassandra Lauren?
Kassandra is a London-based award-winning multidisciplinary artist and digital content
creator who through a journey of self-discovery found inspiration to channel the
experience, texture, and voice of herself and her community into her craft.
For Kassandra, jewellery/art has become more than creating bold and unapologetic
pieces; her story lives in what she creates. In 2020 her lightbulb moment came as she
started to express her own voice in her work and using it to support other Black,
minority, and first-generation creatives.Kassandra explores the themes of identity, heritage, and relationships in her work.
Kassandra has been appointed by Birmingham City University as a Visiting Professor
and Industry Fellow.
Kassandra is producing a jewellery and heritage film.
Kassandra was part of the Pantene, Project Embrace and Black Minds Matter UK hair
discrimination campaign ‘My hair won’t be silenced’
