Paul Sampson - a surfing sensation beating the odds

A formerly homeless Cape Town surfer, who was orphaned in his early teens, has overcome daunting personal, economic, and logistical obstacles to come within reach of competing on the international stage. Paul Sampson known as “Chow,” began surfing at age 6 in Muizenberg, South Africa, quickly rising through local competitions with community support. Before he jets off overseas to represent the best that South Africa has to offer, he joined us with Colin Fitch from African Surfing Alliance Surf Club.
