Cycling is more than just a sport it’s a tool for transformation. Since 2004, the Velokhaya Cycling Academy in Khayelitsha has empowered over 4,000 young people, combining cycling with mentorship, education, and life skills. Some alumni have even gone on to compete on the world stage, including the Tour de France. 🚴🏾‍♂️🇿🇦

In this episode of The Social Impact Show, Sam Marshall speaks with Sipho Mona, social entrepreneur and leader of Velokhaya, about how bicycles are creating opportunities, steering youth away from social ills, and building a brighter future for South Africa.

This September, Velokhaya is one of the beneficiaries of the Matrix Fitness Cycle for Change Spin-A-Thona movement proving that every pedal stroke can change a life.
