
Children’s right over the reopening of Schools

Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga announced yesterday that schools will reopen 01 June. There’s been mixed rection from the public. Tonight we ask, Is the proposed return to schools not a violation of children right, as stipulated in Sec 28 of the Constitution, which prohibits risking the child’s well-being, physical or mental health? Is the child’s right to life, safe environment and human dignity (Bill of Rights -Section 10,11 and 24) not be compromised?
