The Internet of Things or IoT as it is popularly known revolutionised the way devices are connected over the internet. IoT has enabled the collection of big data from a complex network of sensors in many of the physical things around us. Smart devices have allowed us to be more connected to technology through IoT platforms which send and receive information from these devices for our convenience.

Industries such as healthcare, retail, agriculture and logistics have benefited from IoT applications. Artificial intelligence has also unlocked more value from the big data that is collected through IoT networks. Billions of devices are increasingly connected over the internet and this is painting an interesting picture of connectivity in the future.
