How does it work?

Automated content recognition creates "accoustic fingerprints" of songs and other audio and then use them to detect when audio is played inside a stream.

These fingerprints are both very accurate and very flexible - even partial plays of audio are detected reliably.

Because they are also resilient to noise, transmission or encoding artifacts they produce great results even on noisy signals.

We use a third-party database with millions song fingerprints to recognise known songs in streams and deliver rich online reports on detected songs.

Information includes song title, artist, album, record label and genre.
