Thirty teams of young chefs are preparing to do battle in three regional semi-final competitions taking place simultaneously in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. The teams of two, all students enrolled in professional culinary training programmes, will be putting their best foot (and knife) forward for the chance to compete in the national final of the RCL FOODS Young Chef and Baker Challenge in October.
