Government has officially switched off the gantries of the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project (GFIP), popularly known as e- tolls. The government officials, including Minister of Transport, Sindisiwe Chikunga, and Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi, celebrated the end of their own failed e-toll system with a countdown clock and photo-ops, ala New Year’s Eve.
