We sat down with Omar van Reenen, a 2024 Kofi Annan NextGen Democracy Prize nominee. The first Namibian to be nominated, the aim of the prize is to recognize exceptional leadership and inspire more young people to commit to the advancement of democracy. The prize consists of a USD 10,000 award accompanied by a 1-year mentoring programme.
