The Proteas returned to winning ways with a seven-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the T20 International Tri-Series being played in Harare.
Zimbabwe batted first at the Harare Sports Club and were restricted to 144/6 in their 20 overs, with Brian Bennett scoring 61 and Ryan Burl adding 36.
In reply, North West Dragons batter Rubin Hermann recorded his maiden international fifty with a knock of 63 off 36 balls, while captain Rassie van der Dussen remained unbeaten on 52 as they chased down the target with 16 balls to spare.
Hermann said it was important to dictate the game with the bat.
