DA MPs Survive Terrifying Smash-and-Grab Attack

In a shocking incident in Philippi, three DA MPs were attacked in a violent smash-and-grab incident on Tuesday. Portfolio Committee on Police Chairperson Ian Cameron, together with colleagues, Lisa Schickerling, and Nicholas Gotsell were driving when suspects smashed their windows and hurled bricks at them. Cameron recalls fighting back and firing his gun to protect his colleagues. “There was blood everywhere. I thought Nicholas was gone,” he said. Gotsell is recovering in hospital; Cameron suffered minor injuries, and Schickerling got out unharmed.
