Icar reafirms SA Studbook certification

OFM News agri editor Sabrina Dean speaks to Dr Japie van der Westhuizen, manager of production recording at SA Studbook, about a certificate of quality issued by the International Committee on Animal Recording (Icar). Van der Westhuizen explains that the certification allows SA Studbook to benchmark itself against similar organisations across the world. He says they have to comply with numerous guidelines, which at the end of the day are meant to help livestock farmers know what it is they are buying:
