Ghanain guitarist Kyekyeku (Tche-Tche-Kou), who encapsulates a new generation of Ghanaian musicians who “make the distant past meet contemporary idioms” of West Africa’s musical heritage. His music draws from the forest folk Palmwine blues and the cross rhythms of Ghana that gave birth to some of the Africa’s intrinsic styles, like Highlife and Afrobeat.
Kyekyeku will talk about his involvement with Music In Africa’s ACCES conference, happening from 28 – 30 November in Ghana.
