In line with #CoronaHope we will be crossing to Paris to speak to Senegalese singer and bass virtuoso, Alune Wade. Having been headhunted by Ismaël Lô at the age of 18, Alune continued to perform and record with contemporary music legends including Salif Keita, Oumou Sangaré, Bobby McFerrin, Joe Zawinul, Fatoumata Diawara, Paco Sery, Cheick Tidiane Seck, Deep Forest and Gregory Porter. In 2015 he was asked by Marcus Miller to record on Miller's album ‘Afrodeezia’, and he has since become a successful solo artist. Since the outbreak of Covid19 and the global lockdown, Alune has been recording a series of music videos, featuring collaborations with some of the world’s most talented artists.
